The Golf Tracer – FAQ’s

    1. How do I use the Ball Tracer?
      • Simply take a video of someone hitting a golf ball, upload it to the app, and next thing you know – it’s traced! View our step-by-step tutorial for more details.
    2. How do I save or share my Tracer video?
      • When you tap “Finish” on the “Tracer Preview” screen your video will automatically be saved to your camera roll
      • If you want to save several variations (colors, style, etc) of your tracer video, tap “Options” on the “Tracer Preview” screen and select “Save to camera roll”.
    3. How does the Assisted Tracer work?
      • After you submit a video, it is uploaded to our server and processed. Our backend determines the starting point and tracks the flight path of the ball to the best of our ability.
    4. How long does the Assisted Tracer take?
      • It varies depending on the volume of videos being submitted and processed. The turnaround time will not always be immediate, but it is usually very quick.
    5. Why is my tracer inaccurate?
      • Sometimes due to the angle of the video, the color of the sky, and the quality of the video (steadiness, etc) the tracer may not work perfectly. In order to achieve best results please record until the ball lands and keep the camera still.
      • If you get an inaccurate tracer you can edit it yourself or resubmit.
      • Please email us if you think the app is underperforming and we’ll double check your videos for you.
    6. Why is my video “Untraceable”?
      •  In some cases, the video is too shaky, too short, or the overall lighting/quality is bad. This makes it hard to tracer the golf ball and may result in an “untraceable” video. If you are getting this result on a video that you think should be traceable, please let us know and we’ll take care of it ASAP.
    7. My video is stuck “uploading” or “processing”, what’s going on?
      • In some rare cases, there is an issue with the upload due to video size, or other factors. If you face one of these circumstances please let us know and we’ll take care of it ASAP.
    8. The landing point of the shot is not very accurate, can I fix that?
      • Yes. Sometimes our backend processing cannot track the entire flight path of the ball accurately due to video quality or angle. If you would like to adjust the end point, the path, or the starting point simply tap “Edit Tracer Path” on the tracer preview screen and you can adjust anything you’d like.
    9. What kind of video should I record for optimal results?
      • The best results come from a video that is stable, shot from behind the golfer and at least 10 feet away,  in regular speed (not slow-mo), and keep recording until the ball lands.
    10. Can I get a refund?
      • We offer a full refund for any customer who is not happy with their purchase. Please email us and we’ll get it processed.
